Adas-Behrend Senior Fellowship

The Lunch Program is suspending our regular programming at this time and per the directive of the DC government, moving to home-delivered meals. Please note that frozen meal distribution, which will be replacing our boxed lunches until further notice, is run SOLELY by the DC Department on Aging and Community Living and not through either the EDCJCC or Adas Israel Congregation.

If you are a senior who would like to expand your circle of friends, please join us. Adas Israel and our Sisterhood, in partnership with the Jewish Council on the Aging, and the DCJCC, offers a hot lunch and programs for seniors each weekday. These daily programs are for D.C. residents aged 60 and over.

The daily lunch program is made possible by a generous grant from the Adas Israel Sisterhood, the Ethel Dubit Fund, and the Suevia and Rudolph Behrend Endowment.

Adas-behrend Senior Fellowship

Lunch and Fellowship

Seniors from the DC metro area are invited to enjoy a hot Kosher lunch. Suggested donation: $4.00, though no one will be denied a meal if s/he is unable to make a donation. Lunches are planned by a nutritionist, and are low in sodium and fat. We also offer vegetarian options. View our March Lunch Calendar.

Art, Speakers, and More

We also have daily classes in art, movement, writing, plus featured speakers on nutrition, health, finance, and literature.

On Fridays, the Senior Fellowship offers a Shabbat celebration that includes live musical entertainment sponsored by the Morris Hariton Senior Program Fund.

RSVPs are welcome but not necessary. Call Kim at 202-777-3243 or email
