LGBTQ+ Affinity Group: Pride in the Parking Lot at Adas.

Join us for an outdoor brunch in the Adas Parking Lot (rain location: Funger Hall on the 3rd floor).  Come celebrate Pride Month with bagels, get to know other Adas Members, and talk about what you'd like to see from our new affinity group.
 
All ages welcome. We do ask that allies respect that the affinity space is for LGBTQIA+ identifying or questioning people and their immediate families/partners only. 
 
If we are outdoors, there are no masking or vaccination requirements. If we do need to move to the indoor option due to weather, proof of vaccination will be required. 

We also want to remind the Adas community about the Jayme Schlenker Memorial Fund, which will provide critical resources for transgender youth in crisis as well as support for their family and friends. Initially this will include time-limited emergency counseling with a licensed therapist, a therapist-led support group for transgender youth at Adas, and a resource shelf in the library and posting of information around the synagogue about organizations that help transgender youth. We anticipate this work launching later this year. 

Adas Israel has generously provided some seed money for the fund and many members of the community have donated, but more is needed to ensure that the vital work of the fund can continue long-term.
