FEATURED SPEAKER: Chef Alex Levin, interviewed by Susan Barocas, will tell us about his journey into the food industry, how he views Hesed and food, and share stories about his amazing grandparents. Alex Levin is an award-winning pastry chef and currently works for the Schlow Restaurant Group. In his role, he leads, manages and executes pastry programs at the company’s restaurants across the nation, while working closely with Chef Michael Schlow and the SRG Executive Management Team. He has developed pastry programs at American, Japanese, Latin American, Italian and Spanish-inspired restaurants. Alex’s desserts have been heralded by numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, Eater, Washington City Paper, Zagat's, DC Magazine and others.
