Join Adas Israel Musician-in-Residence Micah Hendler, ADAMS Beat director Hurunnessa Fariad, Covenant Church Creative Arts Pastor Ken Oyerly, and special guests from the One America Movement for "Havdalah and Sing for Justice" focused on songs of healing and hope. We will begin with a short musical havdalah as we bid farewell to Shabbat, and transition into the work of building a more just world through song. Our special guests from One America and partner congregations will speak about what they have learned about the opioid crisis and lead us in songs and activities to help us connect deeply with one another through themes of healing, recovery, and second chances. We will have the opportunity to connect with and support community members across faiths and across the city who are driving impact in areas of concern to all who work to bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice. Our voices, raised in harmony, can help power the change we want to see in our city, in our country, and in our world.

The Havdalah and Sing for Justice series is in partnership with Justice Choir DC and invites community members of all backgrounds, faiths, and levels of singing experience to join us and share their voices fully. We meet in person, indoors, masked, and socially distanced, for the event; for those who cannot join in person, you are welcome to join on zoom.
