Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend

Friday, January 16, 2026 - Sunday, January 18, 2026

Come together as a community to celebrate and reflect on the wisdom, courage, and lasting legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The weekend will include Shabbat services with guest speakers, a communal dinner, and engaging study sessions and discussions led by the Social Action Committee and community leaders, exploring the connections between Dr. King’s teachings and Jewish texts.

Throughout Martin Luther King weekend, Mosaic Theater will participate in Adas Israel Congregation's MLK Shabbat. The weekend's events will be a key part of Mosaic’s producing a series of citywide events to highlight Civil Rights history, social justice, and the ongoing need for "Good Trouble" in conjunction with their spring production of the new musical Young John Lewis: Prodigy of Protest.

Community Day of Service

Sunday, January 18 @ 10am - 2pm | Click Here to Register

Mosaic joins Adas Israel’s annual Day of Service to lead community members in gathering stories around what it means to make good trouble. So many of us have a John Lewis story -- a connection to the congressman, a moment of being inspired by a justice movement, a narrative about a time you felt the call to make some good trouble. Mosaic will facilitate a narrative collecting throughout the Day of Service, gathering stories centering justice from throughout the community. Come ready to share, listen, and connect around good trouble making.
