Calling All Cooks: Please join us on Tuesday May 14 at 6:30 PM for our next Hesed cooking event. We are thrilled that some of the food we are making will be donated to the TraRon Center, an important organization founded by Ryane Nickens ( who has been a past MLK speaker at Adas) that provides support and after school activities for children in Ward 8 who have been exposed to gun violence. We are fortunate that one of our regular Hesed cookers, Lois Fingerhut, is on the board of the TraRon Center and has made this arrangement possible. Participating in Hesed is a great way to meet new people while you cook delicious and healthy food that will be stored in our Hesed freezer to be delivered to Adas members who are sick, have a new baby, or just need a little Hesed loving kindness.
