Come experience the exhilaration and joy of community connection when dancing to klezmer music with world renowned dance instructor Steve Weintraub. Klezmer music IS, first and foremost, dance music. We’ll do more than run in circles; participants will be introduced to the figures, steps and styling for many of the dances in the klezmer repertoire. Learn the lively Freylekhs, the boisterous Bulgar, the stately Zhok, and that essential Jewish square dance, the Sher (a party with 7 of your friends), plus many other circle, couple and set dances.

The dance, which starts at 2pm, will be preceded by a workshop from 12:30 to 1:30 where some of the more elaborate dances to be danced later will be thoroughly taught.
