Tzingo Tzingo is a fun-filled afternoon for our Gan families and is the Gan's biggest tzedakah fundraiser of the year! The event benefits the Hope for Henry Foundation, a DC non-profit that collaborates with health care providers on events and activities that advance medical care for seriously ill children and help bring a smile to the children's faces. The afternoon begins with making hamentaschen and decorating get well soon cards for the children that Hope for Henry helps. We then have a blast with a rousing game of Zingo (a version of picture bingo) and prizes. The afternoon is capped off with a pizza dinner and eating the delicious hamentaschen the children have baked! |

Shabbat Morning Youth Services Engaging and Meaningful Shabbat Services We are blessed to have so many families in our community. Children, like adults, can feel drawn towards different modalities of prayer, learning and Shabbat. To that end, we are excited to share with you our new and expanded pilot programming for Shabbat mornings. It is our hope that this variety of offerings will enable our children and their grown-ups to engage in meaningful, communal experiences over Shabbat. Purim at Adas: The Storm Monday, March 9th - Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 This year our Purim prism will be "The Storm." Why? Because sometimes the best way to appreciate the ways in which we try to control so much around is is to let go in ways we normally can't. To that end, we'll be gently playing with some of the building's more common features to create a sensation that begs one more glance, one more moment of reflection, and one more attempt at clarity. Instead of clearing away the stuff you don't always see, we'll embrace it, imaginatively recreate it, and consciously inhabit its wild dimensions. Sometimes, in order to see the reality that is "Adas" in all of its holy facets, we must imagine it from the other side -- the stormy side. |
