We Welcome Rachel Kozak to our Youth Staff!
Rachel Kozak is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, with a degree from her double major in Psychology and Jewish Studies. This year, Rachel will be taking some courses at Northern Virginia Community College to prepare for her application to graduate school for Occupational Therapy. In addition to her passion toward psychology and working with kids, Rachel also loves spending her time at Camp Ramah in New England, where she will be a Rosh Edah (division head) for rising 8th graders this summer. This will be her 5th year on staff, and 13th summer in total with Ramah. While her home is in Palmer, MA for 2 months of the year, Rachel is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. As a participating Seaboard USYer herself, Rachel served as Religious Education Vice President on her chapter board, and attended most regional conventions. From her experiences in USY and Ramah, Rachel developed her excitement toward the importance of young people's Jewish programming, and brought this excitement with her to college, where she then became Koach president in Maryland's Hillel.
Rachel is super excited to bring her enthusiasm for Judaic and social programming to the youth of Adas Israel! Get ready for a year full of exciting, new events and experiences!

USY (continued)
As part of the Seaboard Region, USY teens participate in a variety of social, religious, social action, and fund-raising events each month, as well as in conventions and programs on both the regional and international level. Additionally, USY offers an exciting range of summer programs within the United States and abroad. Tune back in later this month for a full calendar of chapter events. We look forward to another great year!
Kadima (continued)
Kadima is part of the wider Seaboard Region, which offers two conventions each year and a number of other fun events where hundreds of members from across the region join together to create memories that will last forever. We look forward to another great year!
