The Adas Israel Sisterhood embraces women of all ages and stages of life. It is a vital force in our congregation, with activities ranging from topical guest speakers and community outreach to workshops on religion and personal development. Through the
Judaica Shop, Donor Luncheon and other functions, the Sisterhood supports the congregation financially. It also sponsors and decorates the Sukkah, staffs the seniors' fellowship program, provides flowers for the pulpit and sponsors the Oneg Shabbat.

Sisterhood Sponsors Thursday Night
Minyan
We have pledged that at least two women from Sisterhood will attend the 5:45 PM minyan
every Thursday evening. Sisterhood chose Thursday night, when the synagogue is
dark, because it is the most difficult night to make a minyan. To sign up for your Thursday
night at the minyan, contact coordinator Harriet Isaac,
happyisack@yahoo.com or 202-369-7956. |
