Traditional Egalitarian Minyan

About us...
The Adas Israel Traditional Egalitarian Minyan meets every Shabbat at 9:30 am at Adas Israel. We are lay led with members of the Minyan leading the Davening, reading Torah, and delivering a short D'var Torah each week. Our service is participatory, traditional in content and egalitarian in implementation.

We welcome visitors, guests, college students, and new members of the community. For additional information, or to answer any questions, please contact us at  tem@adasisrael.org.

The Traditional Egalitarian Minyan is 100% volunteer driven. (See right and below for contact info). If you are interested in giving a D'var Torah in the Minyan, or are looking for the text of a D'var Torah that someone else has given visit http://www.dcnemeth.com/dvar.

We hope to see you soon!

Get involved!
There are many opportunities to get involved in the Minyan!
We welcome everyone's involvement in all aspects of services, including children who can lead Ashrei and other prayers.

To participate in the service such as by opening the ark or by having an aliyah, or if you could serve as a Gabbai during the Torah service, contact Jake Yeston at jake.yeston@verizon.net and Margie Siegel at margaret.siegel@verizon.net.

To lead services (daven), email the Davening coordinators, Jonathan Grossberg and Joe Postow, at daveners.tem@adasisrael.org. Daveners are needed each week for P'sukei d'Zimrah, Shacharit, and Musaf. The Traditional Minyan does the full repetition of the Amidah.

To read Torah (Leyn), email the Leyning co-coordinators, Jacob Bardin and Jeryl Parade at leyners.tem@adasisrael.org. The Minyan reads the full Torah reading each week; however, there are many short readings during the year. Pick up a leyning sheet in the back of the Kogod for leyning opportunities, or visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/weneedleyners/database.

To sign up to give a D'var Torah in the Minyan any time this year, email David Nemeth at dvar.tem@adasisrael.org. You can reserve your favorite Parsha up to a year in advance! Visit www.dcnemeth.com/dvar for the D'var Torah lineup and to see what is available. In fact, almost all weeks are open!
