Mens' Club |
 Twice
recognized as the outstanding Men’s Club in the nation, the Adas Israel
Men’s Club supports the congregation and membership in three ways:
through religious programs that are designed to enhance Jewish
observance, service programs that assist the congregation, and social
programs that enrich fathers and children. As a service arm of the
synagogue, the Club provides ushers for religious services, distributes
memorial candles for use on Yom Hashoah, holds monthly services at area
senior residence homes, and provides CPR training for congregants.
As part of its
efforts to “Enhance Jewish Observance” the Club sponsors the yearly
“World Wide Wrap” to promote Tefillin observance, offers
 Sukkah
kits to the community to enhance the observance of Sukkoth, inspects and
purchases new Tallitot and Tefillin for use by congregants, and offers
workshops on holiday observance. The Men’s Club provides parent-child
programming for the congregation’s youth through Afternoon with Abba and
Camping with Abba programs, and offers financial subsidies for USY and
youth Israeli pilgrimages. The Club also sponsors the yearly Garden of
the Righteous ceremony.
