9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The library is staffed by volunteers from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the first, third, and fifth Shabbat of every month. Books are available for check-out whenever the doors are open, which should be most of the time. If the doors happen to be locked during normal business hours, you may ask one of the staff to open them for you. Please follow the check-out procedure posted at the small table inside the front door. Please do not remove materials from the library without checking them out first. The book return box is inside the library on the right-hand side near the office. Books may also be returned at the front desk or in the box marked "library" in the mail room. hours | circulation | library organization | services | periodicals | music Circulation Policy Books can be checked out for three weeks at a time. They may be renewed by telephone or in person. Overdue notices are sent out for delinquent books. Please do not pass library books on to other congregants without contacting the librarian first. hours | circulation | library organization | services | periodicals | music Library Organization The library is organized according to the Elazar Classification System for Judaica. Signs outlining the general categories are posted in the library. Shelf markers are posted in the reference, fiction, biography, and other sections to help library users navigate. There is a computerized catalogue at the desk in the back of the library. Directions are posted by the machine. You may search by author, title, and subject. Signs will help you find materials once you have a call number. hours | circulation | library organization | services | periodicals | music Services and Programs The librarian is happy to provide reference services during staffed hours or at a mutually agreed upon time. You may e-mail a request to the librarian. Please include your phone number with your request. The collection includes cantorial, Israeli, Sephardic, symphonic, klezmer, opera, popular, and children's music.
