Scholars in Residence Saturday Afternoon Learning Series  
 
Scholars in Residence Weekends

The congregation is pleased to present four scholar weekends during 5769. We will welcome these noted scholars to teach throughout the weekend. Please see below for individual weekend schedules. Open to the community at no charge. Saturday morning talks will take place during the Shabbat service, which begins at 9:30. Saturday afternoon talks will take place following the service, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in conjunction with a light Kiddush lunch.

Saturday Afternoon Learning Series
*Rabbi Jay David Sales, z"l, Memorial Shiur

Individuals of all levels are welcome to attend this interactive, no- pressure text-based study, which is taught by various members of the community. No Hebrew reading ability is necessary. Teachers have included: Baruch Weiss, Norman Shore, Shira Hannah Fischer, Rabbi Morris Faierstein, Shalom Flank, Rabbi Joel Alter, Rabbi Gilah Langner, Rabbi Kenneth Cohen, Rabbi Toby Manewith, Sheldon Kimmel, Paul Blank, Nechama Masliansky, David Smolar, Alisa Abrams, Erica Sager Pelman, Rosa Alonso, and Rabbi Charles Feinberg. Open to all, no charge and no need to register. One Shabbat (Saturday) each month, after Kiddush, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. A room will be available for parents who provide adult supervision of children during the shiur.

* Rabbi Jay David Sales was a teacher of Bible, Rabbinics, and Hebrew language, and a highly involved member of the Jewish community. Jay passed away at the early age of 41. This series is dedicated to his memory and to continuing the loving study of Torah he nurtured during his life.
