Selichot Lecture

The Joseph and Mollie Muchnick Memorial Endowment Fund was established in 2004 by their children and grandchildren to bring speakers to our congregation on the eve of the High Holy Day Season. This year’s lecture will be given by our new Senior Rabbi, Gil Steinlauf.

Arnold M. Eisen is the seventh chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary. Cohen Lecture

The Naomi and Nehemiah Cohen Memorial Lecture was established in 2003 by their children and grandchildren to sustain the Cohen's interest and activity in Israel and world Jewry by bringing extraordinary Jewish thinkers from throughout the world to our congregation and our community. Past speakers have included Avraham Burg, Amram Mitzna, Dr. Deborah E. Lipstadt, Dr. David Hartman, and Rabbi Irving "Yitz" Greenberg.

The Seventh Annual Lecture will feature speaker Anat Hoffman, Executive Director of the Israel Religious Action Center. Ms. Hoffman has dedicated her adult life to the Jewish principle of tikkun olam. It is this commitment to social action and justice that has formed her career. She is a sought-after lecturer, addressing audiences in Israel and in the United States on subjects close to her heart: social justice, religious pluralism, Jewish-Arab coexistence, and equal rights for women and minorities

Quebec Street Forum

Quebec Street Forum brings eminent community and political leaders to be interviewed by prominent journalists. Topics span political, social and religious issues of national and international import that are relevant to the Jewish community. Established in 1998 (as "Meet the Press at Adas Israel"), Quebec Street Forum is a project of our World Jewish Affairs (WJA) Committee and is sponsored by the Marilyn and Stefan Tucker Program Fund. Details on lectures are publicized several weeks in advance of the event. Watch the Chronicle and website for info.
