this lively lunch and discussion one Tuesday each month (December study
meets on Wednesday) from 12:00 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m., meeting at 1875 K Street, NW (19th and K Streets).
The Bible serves as a stimulant raising a range of themes that challenge
and engage us. A contribution of $150 covers the cost of lunch for

Study of the Weekly Torah Portion with Rabbi Feinberg |

Join Rabbi Feinberg every Saturday morning for a study session on that
day’s Parasha. Rabbi Feinberg will choose a few passages, themes, or issues from
the weekly portion and discuss them, referring to both traditional and modern
commentaries. There will be ample opportunity for discussion of the themes.
Members of the class will also have the opportunity to make presentations.
Attendees are encouraged to bring different translations of the

Adult Torah Trope Class |
|
Through the course of this six session class, taught by Hazzan Jenna Greenberg, participants will learn
how to prepare aliyot on their own — without recordings! This class is geared
towards individuals who already have experience learning Torah portions from a
recording (and have done so at least once within the last year) and are ready to learn the trope system. Prerequisites: comfort
with reading Hebrew (comprehension is an added bonus), regular attendance at services
(weekday, Shabbat, holiday), and a commitment to leyn
for your community upon completion of the course. Registration is limited. Free
for members, $50 for non-members. |

Sisterhood Bible Study ~ A Taste of Tanach

Join members of the Sisterhood and our rabbi (either Rabbi Feinberg or Rabbi
Steinlauf) for a morning of study
and camaraderie. Class meets one Monday each month in the Adas
Israel Library from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Classes are ongoing, prior
experience is not required, and newcomers are welcome. Sessions begin in
September. The class will continue their study of Torah. For more
