Throughout our history, Adas Israel has been blessed with outstanding spiritual leaders. Today, our distinguished leadership mirrors the diversity of our congregation.

Jeffrey A. Wohlberg, Senior Rabbi, assumed the rabbinic leadership of Adas Israel in 1986, after a distinguished career in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rabbi Wohlberg has a long association with Camp Ramah, and was its director in Argentina. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where he also received the degree of Master of Hebrew Letters, an honorary doctorate, as well as prizes for his study in Talmud. Recognized for his innovative synagogue programming, Rabbi Wohlberg brings to the congregation a special warmth and concern for teaching, youth, and interreligious affairs. In addition to his strong community involvement, he is active in a number of national religious organizations.  Rabbi.Wohlberg@adasisrael.org   Avis D. Miller, Rabbi, has been a rabbi at Adas Israel since her ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 1986. Currently the president of the regional Rabbinical Assembly, she is the first woman to chair one of its national committees – outreach and conversion. She has been instrumental in forming study groups and developing programs for adult learners – such as Hebrew Literacy, Adult Bat Mitzvah and Learners' Minyanim – as well as programs for young couples and young families. After her 1989 visit to Ethiopia, the congregation mounted an influential campaign in support of Ethiopian Jews. Author of On Wings of Hope: Reflections on the High Holy Days, Rabbi Miller received her A.B. from Wellesley College and her M.A. from Georgetown.  Rabbi.Miller@adasisrael.org

He spent nearly twenty summers teaching at Camp Ramah where he designed and taught an innovative prayer curriculum for campers 12 and 13 years of age. While in Vancouver, Rabbi Feinberg founded and co-chaired the Jewish-Christian Dialogue and served as President of the Multifaith Action Society of Vancouver. He was also the founder and first President of the Association of Attending Clergy at Madison General Hospital. Rabbi Feinberg has chaired the Rabbinical Assembly Social Action Committee, which developed the RA Advocacy Day (an annual event hosted by Adas Israel) bringing up to 50 Conservative Rabbis to Washington, DC to advocate public policy positions. He was the recipient of the 2002 Rabbinic Leadership Award by the United Jewish Communities and the Gold Medal Human Service Award by Saint Cabrini Home in 1996. Rabbi Feinberg was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1973. He holds a Master of Arts Degree and Bachelors Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a Bachelors Degree from Columbia University.  Rabbi.Feinberg@adasisrael.org

Stanley Rabinowitz, Rabbi Emeritus, served the congregation with great distinction from 1960 to 1986. During his years of leadership, Adas Israel gained international stature.
